Welcome to Study-bot, an educational application developed and operated by Lilas Solutions SpA. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Study-bot app and related services, available on iOS, Android, and the web.

By registering for and using Study-bot, you agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services

1. Introduction

These Terms outline the rules and responsibilities of users when using Study-bot.

Our objective is to provide students of various ages with effective and personalized study tools, including flash cards, quizzes, and cheat sheets, to support their learning journey in school, college, or other educational institutions.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering or using the Study-bot application and services, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Users must agree to the privacy policy and terms before using the app. Terms apply to all platforms: iOS, Android, and web (lilas.solutions).

3. User Registration and Account Responsibility

You must register and create a user account using your Google account via OAuth2 authentication to use Study-bot. No manual email or password required.

If you are under 18 years old, registering requires consent and account management by your parent or legal guardian (see “Children’s Privacy and Parental Consent” in our Privacy Policy).

Parents/guardians have full account management rights, including verifying the child’s identity, providing consent for data collection, reviewing, and managing the child’s account, and deleting the account if needed.

Minor User Provisions include: Comprehensive protection for users under 18, parental account management rights, limited app functionality for minors, strict adherence to Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) regulations.

4. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of Study-bot is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains the types of information we collect, how it is used, stored, shared and the protections in place.

For minor users, Study-bot implements additional safeguards in accordance with applicable laws, including COPPA.

You acknowledge and agree that the Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service and forms part of our agreement with you.

5. User responsibilities

5.1 Acceptable Use

By using Study-bot, you agree to:

  • Use app for educational purposes only
  • Protect account credentials
  • No misuse of study tools
  • Respect intellectual property

5.2 Prohibited Activities There are prohibited activities while using Study-bot, which include:

  • Harassment or inappropriate content
  • Attempting to bypass security measures
  • Sharing account credentials
  • Using app for illegal activities

6. License and Ownership

Usage License:

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Study-bot. This license is subject to your compliance with these Terms.

Ownership and Intellectual Property:

All intellectual property rights in Study-bot, including but not limited to trademarks, content, tools, and technology, remain the sole property of Lilas Solutions SpA. No reproduction or distribution of app content is permitted.

7. Pricing and Subscriptions

Currently, Study-bot is free to use. In the future, we may introduce user tiers. Details regarding pricing and subscription terms will be provided when these features are launched.

8. Limitation of Liability

We provide Study-bot “as is” and disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. No guarantee of continuous or error-free service Lilas Solutions SpA shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app, for data loss or interruptions.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Study-bot if you violate these Terms or engage in unauthorized use of the app. Termination does not waive any rights or remedies available to us under applicable law.

10. Modifications to Terms or Privacy Policy

We may update our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of Study-bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms and policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Chile. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Chile.
